woodanemonelearnyourlandThat’s an interesting question — one I don’t remember seeing on any of my plant biology exams.

Where would your list begin?  Where would it end?  How in the world could nothing be more important than a wildflower?

These are all great questions with no easy answers.  Still, it’s quite profound that such a humble entity could provoke such thoughts in the human mind.  I really can’t explain it, though trust me on this — hang out with a wildflower long enough, and you’ll acquire some of these thoughts too.  Who knows from where these thoughts arise, though they’ll certainly arrive sooner or later.

This past year, I spent a lot of time in the company of wildflowers.  And the more time I spent with them, the more I began to wonder about our original question…

What could be more important than a wildflower?
