That’s an interesting question — one I don’t remember seeing on any of my plant biology exams.
Where would your list begin? Where would it end? How in the world could nothing be more important than a wildflower?
These are all great questions with no easy answers. Still, it’s quite profound that such a humble entity could provoke such thoughts in the human mind. I really can’t explain it, though trust me on this — hang out with a wildflower long enough, and you’ll acquire some of these thoughts too. Who knows from where these thoughts arise, though they’ll certainly arrive sooner or later.
This past year, I spent a lot of time in the company of wildflowers. And the more time I spent with them, the more I began to wonder about our original question…
What could be more important than a wildflower?
