After teaching biology for 35 years I was hired to control invasive species in a city owned nature preserve in Bowling Green, Ohio. This led to obtaining a naturalist certificate from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and volunteer work at Cook Forest State Park controlling invasive species. Cook Forest has one of the finest stands of virgin Old Growth Forest east of the Mississippi. Slime molds and protozoa are a special interest.
