I am an English teacher, writer, and naturalist in Providence, RI. I have led walks and workshops on the following subjects: mushroom-hunting, animal tracking, insect identification, and wild edible insects.

I’ve published a few articles and contributed to many entomophagy-centered events, including several international conferences and a TEDx. I’ve participated in several “insect chef cook-off” events; worked with actual chefs; harvested a wide range of edible species; maintained a small commercial inventory of exotic [frozen] edible arthropods; lived on a mostly-insect diet for extended periods; and archived thousands of articles, papers, images, and physical objects related to the subject of insect consumption.
