Dale Luthringer has been the Environmental Education Specialist at Cook Forest State Park since 1996. He facilitates interpretive programs and teacher workshops to over 21,000 participants per year.  He is a certified pesticide applicator, archery instructor, and ACA kayaking instructor.  His ecological research includes acid mine reclamation, white-tailed deer populations, invasive plant species, hemlock woolly adelgid, big & tall tree documentation, and he specializes in old growth forest ecosystems.
