Fungi are world class decomposers, recyclers, symbionts, and bioremediators. Their existence is essential to the health of countless ecosystems around the world, though for various reasons mushrooms and other fungi are often wrongly maligned, avoided, and feared by many people today. However, with a little bit a instruction, knowledge, and experience, anyone can gain a new appreciation for wild fungi and learn the skills involved in becoming a proficient wild mushroom hunter.
Join Melissa Price from Forager’s Harvest and Adam Haritan for an exciting weekend designed to instill confidence in eager mushroom enthusiasts looking to overcome doubts and improve skills. This weekend will provide both indoor and outdoor instruction with time split between introductory mycology lessons as well as outdoor mushroom hunts and harvests in a variety of habitats, including lawns, fields, parks, and forests.
